A few words about us
The Musical Association in Cieszyn was established in 1996 by the teachers of the State Music School in Cieszyn. Currently, it consists of sympathizers and lovers of music from Cieszyn District.
Since its beginnings it propagates and popularizes music as a universal and mutual tool between people, allowing for sensing, experiencing and discovering atmosphere of spiritual moments. Such features make music a field of art, which joins generations and people together, as well as moves and inspires them.
The Musical Association in Cieszyn fulfills its mission by organizing a series of classical music concerts for which not only extinguished artists, but also talented musicians are invited. Further, they are capable of creating their own artistic style.
Not only do the Association run educational activities in its own seat (at I. Paderewski State Music School in Cieszyn) but also in schools of all levels in Cieszyn District. These activities have educational, popularizing and musical character. Having an excellent pedagogical, scientific and executive staff the Association conducts training aiming at bringing music closer as an interpersonal communication tool, as well as
a source for unique experiences. Thus, it educates future music receivers – concert room audience. The Association also teachers practical music skills on instruments and gives music and motor training, providing with basic skills for discovering this area of art.
Another sphere of acting of MAC (the Musical Association in Cieszyn) is the promotion of native composers and musical circle and the sphere of organizational activity.
The projects of the Musical Association in Cieszyn: Musical Evenings at the Castle, The Festival “Old Music in Cieszyn,” Museum with Music, Summer with Music Educational Concerts, Musical Courses.
